Harry Clearwater was a tribal elder of the Quileute tribe, and father of Seth Clearwater and Leah Clearwater. He was also a close friend of Charlie Swan's and the two of them shared a love of fishing. Harry was happily married to Sue Clearwater until he died of heart attack during New Moon.

Harry is mentioned in the Twilight film and novel by Billy Black when he brings Charlie some of Harry's "famous fish fry".
New Moon
Harry was first mentioned in New Moon when he and his family are at the spaghetti dinner Bella goes to at Jacob Black’s house. That night, his wife Sue "teased" her husband about his cholesterol and tried, unsuccessfully, to shame him into eating something "green and leafy."
Harry is also a convenient person for Bella to send Charlie Swan, her father, off to, given their mutual love for fishing. While Charlie is at Harry's house, he figures out that Harry had been having heart problems, but Harry is able to joke about it with Charlie to make it seem insignificant.
When Bella finally learns that Jacob is a Shape-Shifter, Harry and Billy help keep Charlie out of range of Victoria. Then, the morning of Bella's cliff diving expedition, Harry suffers a fatal heart attack and dies. It is later suggested that the sudden change of his children into werewolves caused Harry's heart attack and subsequent death.[1]
